The staff here is on point! I would highly recommend registering in this ABA program. Our son is 4 years old and has shown major improvement since he’s been enrolled (1.5 months). Never have had a bad experience, all of the therapists here are very good with all children from what I’ve witnessed. The director always greets us at the door at drop off and pick up with a very positive attitude. We have really enjoyed the warmth from this center! Our child has progressed very well in the little time that he has attended. Would rate 10 stars if possible! If you’re looking for a kind and compassionate environment for your children, would definitely consider ABC.
Very happy with ABC and all the therapists. They are all so sweet and nice, always willing to help in any way they can. My son loves going to "school" everyday and loves his therapists so much. I always leave with a peace of mind knowing they are taking good care of him and as a parent, that is the most important thing. We are so lucky to be part of the ABC family. I cannot recommend this place enough, absolutely happy with everyone here.
Milestone moments start here: ABA therapy in Chicago
Whether your child has an autism diagnosis or you're just beginning the journey, Action Behavior Centers is here to support your family. We offer comprehensive autism evaluations, including the ADOS-2, at our centers in Chicago, Lincolnwood, Oak Lawn, Orland Park, and nearby areas.
The ADOS-2 helps identify behaviors commonly associated with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). After the assessment, scores are calculated and shared with your child’s pediatrician or referring provider to support the diagnostic process and next steps. If autism is diagnosed, your child can start personalized ABA therapy right away. Our Chicago-area centers have immediate openings—get started today!
The M-CHAT
Children 3 and younger
The Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (M-CHAT) can help parents receive an autism risk score for their child. Parents or other caregivers who know the child best answer a few questions about how the child usually behaves. The resulting risk score can help guide the next steps.

Children 4 and older
Parents of older children complete the Childhood Autism Spectrum Test (CAST), which asks questions about specific autism symptoms, such as social interaction issues and communication challenges.

What is ABA therapy, and how does it work?
Applied behavior analysis therapy is a proven approach for helping children with autism build new skills and reduce behaviors that can make learning more difficult. Through ABA therapy, children on the autism spectrum can improve communication, develop self-care routines, and better manage their emotions. Our ABA therapists use positive reinforcement and personalized strategies to support each child’s growth. We work closely with families to help children reach their goals and build the skills they need for the future.
Does ABA therapy work for autism?
Yes! Every child with autism is unique, and some children experience more significant progress with ABA therapy than others. However, studies show that children who receive two or more years of intensive behavioral interventions, such as ABA therapy, can often participate in school and social activities at the same level as their peers.
Does ABA therapy mean my child is “stuck” at a table all day repeating the same tasks?
No way! At Action Behavior Centers, we create an exciting environment for learning. While sitting at a table may be a developmental goal for school readiness, there are so many other skills to learn and fun to have.
Our autism treatment centers feature designated “Eats and Crafts” spaces that are used daily for exciting activities. Circle Time, another daily event, brings therapists, BCBAs, and children together to sing, laugh, and learn. Children can also participate in energetic, therapist-led activities like group exercises and sensory rooms.
