Data Quality Analyst

 

Overview

 

We are looking for a talented Data Quality Analyst who is versatile and creative, and who can be an integral part of a small tight team in a fast-paced environment that will ensure data accuracy and maintain the highest of data quality standards that support Action Behavior Centers. This role not only requires the ability to leverage industry standards to maintain data quality but also partner with internal stakeholders to understand and improve business processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of the data and reporting applications through detailed analysis, efficient coding and identifying and resolving problems as they arise
  • Participates in the development of data quality rules, thresholds, and standard/quality expectations for data elements that support critical business processes
  • Continuously execute and monitor the Data Quality Lifecycle on a daily basis
  • Implement controls to mitigate data quality risks including continuously monitoring data quality results, reports and dashboards
  • Address data questions, requests or issues through our internal ticketing process
  • Monitor and troubleshoot daily and nightly data load jobs

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of experience with relational database management systems, especially with MS SQL Management Studio
  • 1+ years of experience with Datawarehouse systems, especially with Google BigQuery
  • 2+ years of experience developing complex, highly optimized SQL Stored Procedures and functions across large volumes of data
  • Experience with data appends and data cleansing techniques
  • Demonstrated understanding of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence concepts
  • Strong organizational and project management skills and demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects at a given time
  • Experience with Tableau, Sisense or an equivalent reporting tool
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently within competing deadlines with minimal guidance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • Solid business acumen, with broad understanding of business terminology and processes
  • Strong Business and Technical documentation skills
  • Strong and concise communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and team-working skills
  • Detail oriented in all aspects of their work
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Curiosity and passion for data and solving problems
  • Experience using SSIS or similar tools to build ETL packages is a plus
  • Knowledge of Salesforce (from a usability and back end data structure perspective) is a big plus.
  • Experience working in a healthcare-related organization and an understanding of HIPAA is a plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer
