Brenda Tavares

Family Advocate – Dallas-Fort Worth

Brenda Tavares is the Family Advocate for Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas, bringing five years of experience at Action Behavior Centers and a genuine understanding of what families go through at every stage of their journey. She started her career at ABC as a Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®), working directly with autistic children before moving into center admissions roles, first as an Admissions Associate and then as a Senior Admissions Associate, before transitioning into advocacy.

That range of experience gives Brenda a perspective few advocates have. She understands the clinical side, the operational side, and the family side, and she draws on all of it to make sure every caregiver she works with feels informed, comfortable, and supported. Brenda is passionate about building real relationships with families, taking the time to get to know each one and making every interaction feel personal rather than transactional. She wants families to feel at ease asking questions, sharing what's on their minds, and celebrating the progress their children make along the way.

Outside of work, Brenda enjoys spending time with her dog, Parker, getting lost in a good book, and making memories with family and friends. She also loves starting her day with a good cup of coffee or matcha.
