New Centers Associate Designer


Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Support the design team and Architects in creating and developing architectural and structural designs for construction projects.
- Assist in the reviewing of construction drawings, plans, and specifications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant codes and regulations.
- Coordinating communication form the GC and Architect during the permitting process.
- Conduct research on design trends, materials, building systems, and construction techniques to enhance project outcomes.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members to gather project requirements and ensure design feasibility.
- Prepare detailed documentation, including design presentations, reports, and progress updates.
- Assist in coordinating and communicating with contractors, suppliers, and other external parties to facilitate project implementation.
- Assist in reviewing and evaluating design proposals, construction documents, and contractor submissions.
- Perform site visits and inspections to ensure design compliance, identify potential issues, and support problem-solving efforts.
- Utilize design software and tools effectively to develop accurate and visually appealing design concepts.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to construction design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in interior design, project management, construction management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (e.g., internships, coursework, projects) in architectural or construction design.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work well in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality of work.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices is a plus.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
- Travel up to 50%
