Role Requirements
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 12 months of ABA therapy experience required
- Current RBT certification in good standing
- For internal ABC candidates:
- Minimum performance score of 3 at most recent performance check-in (Elevate)
- Must score 90% or higher on an recent RBT evaluation - generalization evaluation with a novel patient
- Must be in good standing, no performance concerns within last 12 months
- Timely and accurate completion of treatment documentation, all session notes must be converted within 24 hours
- Proven track record of reliable attendance
- Must be at least 12 months tenure
- Written recommendation from supervisors (BCBA)
- Must be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable daily transportation (essential)
- Trainees actively accruing supervision hours towards BCBA are not eligible for the role
Schedule & Availability:
- Full-time availability Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Daily travel to assigned centers within your designated market (no radius cap)
- Center assignments provided same-day by Regional Scheduling team
- Must actively monitor team chats for location assignments and updates
- Lift and move with children in a fast paced environment, which includes the ability to lift up to 30 lbs, bend over to pick items up off the ground, squat, quickly move around on the floor, and run to effectively stay engaged with young children, keep a tidy work environment, and maintain safety.
- Maintain an environment conducive to therapy ensuring the play spaces are tidy, organized, and conducive to a stimulating and enjoyable experience for the children.
- Multitask to balance multiple actions, decisions, or conversations in the moment while assessing prioritization and safety for all parties.
- Maintain a solution-focused mindset, approaching challenges with creativity and positivity.
- Comfortable working independently across different environments.
- Demonstrates adaptability, remaining cool and calm under pressure or any novel circumstances.
- Delivers outstanding care regardless of center or patient assignment.
- Collaborate effectively with varying teams and embrace ABC's core values.
- Serves as a role model to others, demonstrates professionalism and clinical excellence that inspires peers.
- Apply the principles of one-on-one ABA therapy to help children with Autism reach their full potential by providing direct therapy across established ABC patients. This includes generalizing the principles of ABA across ABC patients and receiving guidance from a diverse group of Behavior Analysts across the organization.
- Impact a larger group of children in early childhood stages (ages 18 months to 8 years old) by quickly developing rapport and advancing into daily treatment sessions.
- Rapport building with ABC patients can be demonstrated through running, dancing, singing silly songs, reading a book, watching a video, or playing with cars. Keeping up with the energy and enthusiasm of the kiddos, actively engaging in play, and fostering a joyful atmosphere.
- Implementation of daily treatment sessions includes following written instructional strategies across all current programming (e.g., daily sessions, maintenance sessions), collecting data, writing insurance notes, and applying feedback provided by the supervisor.
- Collaborate with new teams to optimize treatment, safety, and a fun working experience.
- Experience the opportunity to coordinate and learn from a larger group of stakeholders (e.g., peers, families, supervisors) to develop activities, celebrate successes, and advocate for personal needs.
- Exceed ABC’s attendance expectation - teammates must not incur more than 2 occurrences within any 6 month period.
- Timely and accurate completion of treatment documentation, all session notes must be converted within 24 hours.
- Uphold ABC's clinical and professional standards across all assignments, which will continue to evolve with the program’s development.
- Failure to meet these standards will result in a return to a traditional center-based Technician role.
