Position Description:

We are looking for a motivated, top-notch Authorizations Confirmation Specialist who wants to be a part of a stellar team and deliver exceptional results. We are a smart, fun place to work. Simply put, we are different, and we aim to be the best. The right candidate will be a natural self-starter with extremely strong attention to detail. We will train on specific task items listed below, although the right fit will quickly and easily pick up responsibilities and manage them on their own.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintains the company’s authorization entry procedures.
  • Data entry with 100% accuracy.
  • Confirming and entering patient’s authorization information with 100% accuracy in a timely manner. 
  • Uploading authorization documents quickly and accurately. 
  • Confirming authorizations via phone calls, daily faxes, and online portals.
  • Catching authorization errors and updating when confirming.
  • Verifying authorization information entered matches what was requested, using insurance cover sheets submitted per insurance/payor.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Revisions and Manager of Insurance Changes and Authorizations regarding specific/special projects on an as needed basis.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated organization, facilitation, written and oral communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in collaboration, teamwork, and problem-solving to achieve goals
  • Demonstrated skills in verbal communication and listening
  • Demonstrated skills in providing excellent service to customers
  • Excellent writing skills
  • A high level of integrity and trust
  • Clerical experience preferred, but not required

Compensation & Schedule:

 
  • Full-Time: $15.00 hourly
  • Austin, TX (on-site position), Remote if outside of the Austin area
