Center-based therapy in Central San Antonio
18 months–8 years
Designed for children ages 18 months to 8 years old, our purpose-built, sensory-friendly centers offer a supportive environment where children diagnosed with autism receive personalized ABA therapy with 1:1 methods, engage in school-readiness activities, and learn practical social and communication skills. Families can expect reliable therapy schedules and continuity of care without unexpected cancellations.
ABC Academy
5–12 years
ABC Academy is a continuation-of-care option for autistic children who attend school part-time or full-time but could still benefit from extra ABA support. BCBAs and RBTs help children build the skills they need to succeed in the classroom, including social flexibility, time management, and emotion regulation. It's a natural bridge between therapy and school, designed to help autistic children feel confident, prepared, and supported as they grow.
ABC at Home
18 months–13 years
ABC at Home brings the same evidence-based ABA therapy and compassionate care your child would receive at a center, delivered right in your home. Learning in a familiar environment helps skills carry over naturally into daily routines, making progress feel immediate and meaningful. BCBAs and RBTs work with your child where they're most comfortable, and two Family Guidance sessions per month keep parents equipped with strategies to support growth every day.

Family Guidance

Very happy with ABC and all the therapists. They are all so sweet and nice, always willing to help in any way they can. My son loves going to "school" everyday and loves his therapists so much. I always leave with a peace of mind knowing they are taking good care of him and as a parent, that is the most important thing. We are so lucky to be part of the ABC family. I cannot recommend this place enough, absolutely happy with everyone here.
Insurance made simple
We accept most major plans, guide families through paperwork, and can provide financial assistance for out-of-pocket expenses.
Coordinated care
We collaborate with your child’s speech, occupational, feeding, and physical therapists to provide sessions directly in our centers. This allows your child to access other services in a familiar environment while minimizing unnecessary transitions and travel.
School readiness support
Center-based ABA therapy helps children build the skills they need for school, such as communication, social interaction, and executive function. For school-age children, ABC Academy continues that support by bridging the gap between therapy and the classroom.

Frequently asked questions
What is ABA therapy and how does it work?
Applied behavior analysis therapy is a research-backed method that helps children diagnosed with autism learn new skills and reduce behaviors that may make learning harder. With ABA, children can improve communication, build daily living skills, and better understand their emotions. Our ABA therapists utilize different strategies, like Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT) and Natural Environment Teaching (NET), to support each child’s progress. Therapy is delivered through a compassionate care framework and emphasizes the child’s individual needs and goals.
Will my child be sitting at a table all day during ABA therapy?
No way! At ABC, learning happens through a variety of engaging activities. While table time can be part of learning school readiness skills, children also enjoy:
- Circle Time with therapists and peers
- “Eats and Crafts” spaces for hands-on activities
- Group exercise, sensory rooms, and play-based learning
Therapy is designed to be fun, active, and motivating.
Is ABA therapy effective for autism?
Yes! Every autistic child is unique, and some children experience more significant progress with applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy than others. However, studies show that children who receive two or more years of intensive behavioral interventions, including ABA therapy, can often participate in school and social activities at the same level as their peers.
