Job Description

Position: Rising Star Coach

Type: Full Time

Location: Hybrid

 

The Rising Star Coach is a collaborative coaching and mentor role designed to support the successful journey of Rising Stars towards becoming a BCBA. This position reports to the Rising Star Supervision Director.

 

Position Description

 
  • Coordinate and host virtual and in person study sessions for exam preparation 

  • Oversee the participation in and completion of BDS modules. Including, but not limited to the following activities: 

    • Guide Rising Stars to enroll in BDS modules

    • Coach and performance manage timely completion

    • Teach clinical supervisors how to read BDS completion reports and set completion goals

  • Develop and maintain ABC’s culture for Rising Stars through the following activities:

    • Engage Rising Stars via group and individual chats

    • Coordinate and host Rising Star dinners in collaboration with the RCD and RDO

    • Recognize milestones, birthdays, anniversaries, core value accomplishments, exam passes

  • Host online study groups, including, but not limited to the following activities:

    • Demonstrate fluency with the task list and remain up to date with terminology

    • Coordinate schedules

    • Develop content

    • Facilitate conversations and active student responding

    • Send attendance list to center and regional leaders

  • Debrief with supervisors to create individualized plans following unsuccessful exam attempts

  • Effectively communicate teammate status updates with the RCD and RDO

  • Demonstrate flexibility as the needs of the program evolves

  • Respond and adjust behavior when feedback is provided

  • Assist with other projects when time permits

  • Flexibility to travel and host sessions outside of business hours

 

Qualifications

 
  • Has at least 1 year experience at ABC

  • ABC Assistant Clinical Director or above, Clinical Director preferred

  • Must reside in an ABC region

  • Travel to various markets to support Everest teammates and leaders

  • History of success supervising trainees with at least two trainees passing their BCBA exam on their first attempt

  • Effectively and systematically communicates up, down, and across tiers

  • Successfully maintains the BACB and ABC’s supervision expectations, including knowledge of rules and documentation

  • Ability to coach others on clinical content while tailoring teaching strategies to the adult learner’s needs

  • Establishes self as a leader by following through on commitments, seeking resources and solutions for teammates, and engaging meaningfully

  • Identified as a meaningful and sought after resource by peers

  • Friendly, genuine personality who enjoys helping others

  • Takes initiative to drive culture for their team and throughout the center

  • Organized, meets timelines, proficient in Google Suite

 

Evaluation of performance is based on increasing first time exam pass rates, increasing overall exam pass rates, and increasing Rising Star retention.

 

Base Salary

$86,000 - $88,000

 

Bonus Structure

Annual bonus up to 5% of base salary
