Aaron Parks

Vice President (VP) Market Leader (South Texas) |San Antonio, TX

As the Vice President for the San Antonio region, Aaron is responsible for ensuring our in-center and at-home departments are functioning at a high level to serve the needs of our various children. Aaron is passionate about growing the region of San Antonio for Action Behavior Centers to ensure we’re helping as many children and families as possible. Aaron’s leadership background began at The Walt Disney Company, where he gained valuable foundations in leadership, decision-making, and operational excellence. Aaron has grown close to many clinical leaders in the San Antonio region and he’s established a strong system of rapport and excellence among his teammates.

Aimee Sackrider

Regional Clinical Director |San Antonio, TX

Aimee has a strong clinical and operational background managing treatment centers and teams delivering ABA therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families. She has demonstrated effectiveness in strategic growth, outreach, and expansions in new and existing markets to support the ground-up development of treatment centers. As Regional Clinical Director, Aimee ensures clinical integrity and clinical excellence remains at the forefront of all of our treatment plans.

Melanie Brookshire

Clinical Director |Beckwith, TX

Melanie joined Action Behavior Center in January 2020 as a BCBA and in less than a year was promoted to Clinical Director and more recently Sr. Clinical Director.  Melanie switched to the ABA field after seeing the tremendous impact it had on her two children and family and wanted to help others experience the same impact.  She has experience with teens and adults, but her experience has primarily been in Early Intensive Behavior Intervention for young children on the Autism Spectrum.     Melanie has a Master in Education in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from Texas Tech University.  When not at work she enjoys spending time with her kids, family and friends.

Mo Aceves

Clinical Director |Buda, TX

Montserrat "Mo" has been with Action Behavior Centers since June 2021 and in the ABA field for almost 10 years. She received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Texas A&M University, where she was a volunteer for a school readiness program for autistic children in the Brazos Valley Rehabilitation Center. She was an RBT in one of the first ABA clinics in the Austin area and has continued to practice in the region. In 2017, she graduated from Texas State with her Master of Education degree in Special Education, with an emphasis in ABA. She became a BCBA in 2018. She has had the opportunity to work with all ages, from early childhood to adulthood, in clinical, home, school and community settings. She loves focusing on assent-based treatment and social-emotional learning, as well as teaching future BCBAs about these practices. In her spare time, she loves exploring Austin with her husband, their soon-to-be here son, and their two dogs.

Tarah Marshall

Clinical Director |Cibolo

Tarah Marshall has worked in the ABA field since 2011.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of New Mexico and her Master of Arts in Professional Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology.  Tarah began as a behavior technician in New Mexico then moved to Oceanside, CA to complete her graduate work and supervision experience working with military families.  She received her BCBA certification in November 2016 and spent 3 years providing in home services before coming to ABC.  She considers ABC her final landing spot and loves serving as Cibolo’s Clinical Director!

Sophia Kassim

Clinical Director |Far West, TX

Sophia started working in the field of ABA in 2011, and has worked as a therapist, a BCBA, a CD and RCD, prior to this role. She has worked in home, in center, school and community settings, and loves working with the early intervention population in particular. Sophia has an interest in severe challenging behaviors, and have experience working in residential facilities prior to moving into early intervention. Her current passions include family guidance, whole family involvement and compassionate care!

Ruby Mannankara-Cabrera

Clinical Director |Helotes, TX

Ruby has worked across multiple settings including the school, home, clinic, telehealth, and non-profit. She works closely with families and caregivers to provide collaborative and compassionate care throughout ABA service delivery. Ruby has supervised and trained graduate and post-graduate students seeking their board certification for several years across a variety of organizations and higher education programs. Ruby is currently a doctoral candidate at Baylor University’s Doctor of Education program in Leadership and Organization Change. Her research focuses on culturally responsive care in behavior analytic treatment, ethical implications in ABA service delivery, and culturally-informed treatment. She completed her Master of Science at Northeastern University and Bachelors in Psychology and Religion at Wake Forest University. She strives to align her behavior analytic practice and contributions as a leader at Action’s Helotes clinic to her core values of compassion and integrity.

Ayssa Altahif

Clinical Director |Kyle, TX

Ayssa is the Clinical Director at our Action Behavior Centers- Kyle Location. She has over 10 years of experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and has had the opportunity to work with patients of all age ranges - from children to adults. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts (BA) at Western Michigan University with a focus on behavior analysis, and her Masters of Arts (MA) in Clinical Psychology at the University of Texas - Rio Grande Valley. She believes in providing compassionate care and taking a collaborative approach when working with families to achieve positive outcomes for our patients. As a Clinical Director with ABC, she believes in leadership through example, to ensure that consistent compassionate care is delivered to all of our patients. During her spare time she enjoys working on her many sewing projects, antiquing and spending time with her dogs.
