ABA Therapy for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder – Woodlands Tech Location
Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) reach their highest potential with the help of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. Action Behavior Centers have the highest quality Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to help each child with developmental skill acquisition.
What is Applied Behavior Analysis? How Does it Work?
Applied Behavior Analysis is a research-backed therapy approach that heavily focuses on positive reinforcement and repetition to help increase desirable behaviors and decrease challenging behaviors.
ABA therapy, particularly intensive programs (40 hours a week), help children with ASD make the most drastic developmental improvements. Our goal is to help prepare children to be successful in school and community environments!
ABA therapy focuses on (but not limited to):
- Communication, speech, language
- Nonverbal communication (gestures, pointing, eye contact, etc.)
- Social interactions with family and peers
- Decreasing temper tantrums and meltdown behaviors
- Decreasing aggression and self-injury
- Improving cognition, memory, and brain functioning
- Toilet training
- Self-help skills (washing hands, brushing teeth, dressing, etc.)
No Wait List
ABC is proud to have no waitlist! This is very unique in the ABA industry – many centers have waitlists of 6 months or longer.
When it comes to treating the symptoms associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder, every day counts. Research shows that the earlier a child starts ABA therapy, the better the results. Call our team today to find out how to enroll in our program.
How Much Does an ABA Therapy Program Cost?
Many insurance plans offer great coverage for ABA therapy. After doing an initial Benefits & Eligibility check, we will be able to discuss a specific cost breakdown.
ABC works with all major insurance providers, including (but not limited to):
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Beacon Health Options
For any insurance providers not listed, call our team for a free Benefits & Eligibility check.
Diagnostic Tool for Autism Spectrum Disorder: ADOS-2
Many parents have concerns about their child’s development. Action Behavior Centers can help determine whether a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder may be present.
At ABC, we do not formally diagnose autism, but we work with several physicians in the Woodlands area to assist with their diagnostic determination. Our clinicians will spend an hour with your child and complete a 24-page evaluation to fax over to your child’s pediatrician or neurologist.
The best thing about getting an ADOS-2 at Action Behavior Centers? It’s completely free!
