Our Katy ABA Therapy center works with children on the Autism Spectrum in need of support to develop speech, language, social skills, and more. Through decades worth of peer-reviewed research, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy has positioned itself as the leading treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorder.
In addition to communication and social skills, ABA therapy helps children on the spectrum decrease or redirect challenging behaviors. Many individuals with autism struggle with transitions, changes to routine, self-injurious behaviors, food aversions, and sensory sensitivities. ABA is the all-encompassing approach to all of these areas of need.
Our Katy ABA Therapy Program at Action Behavior Centers
At ABC, our goal is to create individualized Applied Behavior Analysis therapy programs to hone in on the needs of each child. Every child on the spectrum is unique, so every progress plan should also be unique.
Our ABA Therapy Program functions very similar to a school environment, with typical table work as well as social opportunities in circle time, arts and crafts, outside play, gym play, and more. While the format is similar to a school, our program is unique in that every single child is working on personalized goals.
Since being founded in 2016, Action Behavior Centers has prioritized being different than other ABA providers. We took a look at many of the industry norms and decided we would do better.
Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) provide critical services to change the lives of children on the spectrum. We offer our staff competitive pay, benefits, PTO, 401Ks, and career growth opportunities to curb the turnover that many others in our industry face. Our goal is to provide all of our families with continuity of care – we want you to be seeing the same faces everyday.
Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2): Free Diagnostic Assessments for the Community
Our Katy ABA Therapy center offers the ADOS-2 evaluation to help families get the answers they need. We understand how important it is to have these answers sooner rather than later – when it comes to the diagnosis and treatment of ASD, every day count.
To support families in the Houston metropolitan area, we have a team of Licensed Psychologists and BCBAs who can run free diagnostic assessments for ASD. Once the assessment is scored, ABC will provide results to the child’s physician to review and determine if a medical diagnosis is appropriate.
The ADOS evaluation takes about 45 minutes to an hour and is very natural and play-based. Our clinicians make sure kiddos have fun!
